Mysterious Hour

Variety got word this morning of a very mysterious, and highly ‘under wraps’ project that the folks at 20th Century Fox and Regency just picked up. It’s called THE DARKEST HOUR, and all that’s known at this point is that it’s an action-thriller [that] puts a twist on a classic sci-fi theme. Just what does that mean? I don’t know! That’s all they’re giving us at this point!

Classic sci-fi themes to me include alien invasions, space exploration, technology going bat-shit crazy, time travel, monsters… hell, I could spend all day on what classic sci-fi themes are. The big question then lies, what classic sci-fi theme are they talking about here?

Written by Leslie Bohem and neophyte scribe M.T. Ahern, THE DARKEST HOUR is apparently being aimed at landing ‘young men’ in the theater. Good! Those are generally my type of movies!
