Mythic Quest renewed for Seasons 3 & 4 at Apple TV+

You’re traveling along a dangerous road when suddenly, you see a treasure chest on the ground. You take an enchanted key from your inventory and open the box to reveal a message that says Mythic Quest renewed!

That’s right, my fellow nerds! Apple TV+ has renewed Mythic Quest for two more seasons. The workplace comedy, co-created by and starring Rob Elhenney, will return for Seasons 3 and 4. The renewal was announced on Thursday via Twitter, thanks to a cheeky post featuring Elhenney, Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), and Emmy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins, who once guest-starred in the series.

The series also features Charlotte Nicado, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Ashly Burch, Jessie Ennis, F. Murray Abraham, and David Hornsby. Additional cast members are Naomi Ekperigin, Caitlin McGee, Humphrey Ker, Chris Naoki Lee, and Jonathan Wiggs.

“Just like critics and audiences all over the world, we fell in love with Rob and his team’s sharp writing and full-of-heart, relatable characters that make up the world of ‘Mythic Quest,’” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “We can’t wait for viewers to see what’s in store in the upcoming seasons of this brilliant workplace comedy.”

Also created by Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, Mythic Quest revolves around Ian Grimm (McElhenney), the owner and creative director of a successful video game studio, who alongside his talented team developed the insanely popular MMORPG Raven’s Banquet. At the close of Season 2, Ian and Poppy, in addition to some of their co-workers, left the studio for new opportunities.

Mythic Quest renewed are not words that I expected to hear this afternoon. I now need to add this show to a list of many others to get caught up with. Some days, it feels like there’s never enough time to watch everything you have an eye on, you know? Are you excited about Mythic Quest getting renewed for two more seasons? What new projects do you think the team will work on after seeking a different work environment? Will streamers revolt against their new project? Only time will tell.
