Naomi Watts to star in Colin Trevorrow’s next film, Book of Henry

After the monstrous success of JURASSIC WORLD, a sequel was quickly slotted in for a June 22, 2018 release. While Colin Trevorrow will return to write the script for the JURASSIC WORLD sequel, it doesn't look as though he'll be returning to the directors chair; instead, Trevorrow will helm BOOK OF HENRY based on an original screenplay written by best-selling novelist Gregg Hurwitz (Tell No Lies.)

The plot of BOOK OF HENRY is being kept under wraps, but Deadline reports that the production may have secured themselves quite the talented leading lady; the outlet says that Naomi Watts is currently in final negotiations to take on the lead role in BOOK OF HENRY. Colin Trevorrow has previously commented on the film saying "Book of Henry is a remarkable piece of screenwriting that has stuck with me for years, I feel very fortunate to be able to tell this story. It is a true original."

BOOK OF HENRY will begin shooting in New York this September and will be just one of many projects keeping Naomi Watts busy; the actress has Jean-Marc Vallée's DEMOLITION with Jake Gyllenhaal premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2015, ABOUT RAY with Elle Fanning opening on September 18, 2015, and is reprising her role of Evelyn Johnson-Eaton in the final two films in the DIVERGENT series.
