Natalie Portman portrays First Lady Kennedy in the trailer for Jackie

JACKIE is a searing and intimate portrait of one of the most important and tragic moments in American history, seen through the eyes of the iconic First Lady, then Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (Natalie Portman). JACKIE places us in her world during the days immediately following her husband's assassination. Here we see a psychological portrait of the First Lady as she struggles to maintain her husband's legacy in the first trailer for JACKIE.

While I can't say I'm familiar with director Pablo Larrain's (NERUDA, THE CLUB) work, this trailer immediately grabs your attention and does a great job of creating a sense of drama and slight unease. Even here, you can see that Natalie Portman absolutely kills it in her role of First Lady. Our own Chris Bumbray had a chance to review this one at TIFF (check out the review HERE) and given the buzz, I wouldn't be surprised to see an Oscar nomination in Portman's future.

JACKIE will open in theaters on December 2, 2016.
