Wow, now I seriously have to get one of those display cases from IKEA, since my shelf space is beaten eaten like a pizza at Weight Watchers.
This article from Figures.com explains it all:
First 2 movie properties announced: T-shirts and action figures.
In exclusive news today, NECA informs us that they have been awarded the license by New Line Cinema to produce collectibles based on the 1978 apocalyptic horror classic George A. Romero’s DAWN OF THE DEAD.
Announced licensed product includes T-shirts (SRP of $14-$19.99. Release date to be decided.) and action figures. “Flyboy”, (aka Roger, aka Scott Reiniger) pictured as an early sculpt in progress, is the first confirmed figure. Look for him to join NECA’s Cult Classics line sometime in 2006.
Expect more images of “Flyboy” – along with the debut of a second surprise “Dawn of the Dead” character – as the New York Fall Toy Fair approaches.
Seriously, how sweet is that? Not only do we get Romero’s franchise in NECA’s capable hands, but we also get some kickass figures to boot! Look for more info on this in the future, for sure.
