Those cool cats over at NECA hit the net late last week with a little update from their MySpace page on what the company had going on at this year’s Toy Fair.
First off, the dudes reiterated that they won’t be able to get out a sixth wave of Cult Classics figures just yet, so instead they have two figures being released under the ‘Cult Classics Presents’ banner: Jareth, The Goblin King from LABYRINTH (as played by David Bowie), and another Hannibal sculpt (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) featuring Dr. Lecter spattered with blood from the infamous incarceration scene (you know, the one where Lecter chews the guy’s face then wears the other one’s face?), complete with police baton and jail cell corner. Expect both figures next spring.
Next was news of another wave of POTC: DEAD MAN’S CHEST figures, complete with another Jack Sparrow sculpt and a surprise appearance by Barbossa (a rerelease from the COTBP series with a new base) As well, the dudes dropped some hints that we’d be seeing a look at the new figures based on Frank Miller’s 300 this week, so keep your eyes peeled for those ones.
