Relatively hot on the heels of the trailer debut for Neil Marshall’s epic genre-bending CENTURION, a dime has just been dropped that Marshall will executive produce a new horror film entitled GHOST OF SLAUGHTERFORD. Not only that, Intandem Films has just secured worldwide rights to the film!
Handing the reins over to Ian D. Fleming, who served as A.D. (assistant director) on CENTURION, the British spookster:
Involves a widowed novelist hiding out in the village of Slaughterford while she bashes out her new masterwork. Local residents warn her away from her rented mansion, and she does actually encounter a ghost, before realizing that it’s the locals she needs to worry about.
Sounds like an age old yarn, but given Marshall’s track record (at least, directorially speaking), which includes DOG SOLDIERS, THE DESCENT & DOOMSDAY, I suppose there’s hope for some new terrain to be discovered.
This will mark the second EP credit for Marshall, behind last year’s THE DESCENT: PART 2.
Fleming’s credits include the shorts THE GATHERING and STILL LIFE (director), BULLY (producer) and COMBAT (actor).
GHOST OF SLAUGHTERFORD is set to start filming this June.
