Neil Marshall’s next will be The Sentence, a futuristic revenge thriller

Neil Marshall hasn't released a feature film since 2010's CENTURION, but that's not to say that the director has been slacking off; Marshall successfully delved into the world of television having directed standout episodes of Game of Thrones, Hannibal, and more. It now appears that the director is ready to head back into the world of features as Deadline reports that he has found his next project.

The new project, known as THE SENTENCE, is said to be "a futuristic revenge thriller in the vein of Death Wish" and will be scripted by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt (LONDON HAS FALLEN). Unfortunately that's all we know of the film at this time but as each of Marshall's previous features managed to entertain, I'm game for whatever he has in mind for THE SENTENCE.

It should be said that Neil Marshall already has quite the collection of potential projects on his plate, including an English-language remake of THE TROLL HUNTER and a Dracula flick known as THE LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER. Both films have been in development for quite some time but the director spoke with our own Eric Walkuski late last year and said that both are still "very much alive." Neil Marshall has also directed a segment of the upcoming anthology horror feature TALES OF HALLOWEEN which is set for a October 16, 2015 release.
