Netflix’s Love: Gillian Jacobs would jump at the chance to continue series

If you ask me, two of Community’s stars had fantastic shows on Netflix that ended before their time. Oh, sure, everyone wishes Alison Brie’s Glow could finally wrap up its run with a proper final season, but thanks to Covid, that’s not happening. Gillian Jacobs, for her part, also had a great show on Netflix, Love, that – for me anyway – ended a little bit before its time. The show actually had three solid seasons, but to me, the last outing seemed to go along a little too fast, at least compared to how deliberately paced the first two seasons were.

While our chances of getting more Love from Netflix seem limited, Jacobs, for her part, has continued a pretty solid run with the streamer, co-starring in the recent Fear Street trilogy. In a recent chat with THR, she opened up about her time on Love, revealing that she’d love to revisit the character if given a chance.

“Aww, I really do miss playing that character. So I would love to get a chance to play Mickey again, whether it be a movie or whatever. It’s not up to me, but I will say that I miss playing Mickey.” She added that while she’s never heard from show masterminds Paul Rust (who also co-starred) and Lesley Arfin, it’s nonetheless a call she’d “love to get.”

In the meantime, Jacobs is keeping busy, co-starring in the Adam McKay-produced HBO series about the L.A. Lakers in the eighties, and co-starring with Chris Pine in the upcoming Violence of Action

You can see Gillian Jacobs in Fear Street Part 3: 1666, which premieres on Netflix tomorrow! And, if you're looking for a great bingewatch, check out all three seasons of Love! It's a great little show.
