Keira Knightley may sometimes be a tad on the skinny side, but you can’t deny that she is indeed one of the more gorgeous females in film. She is also one hell of an actress, which makes me pleased to announce that she is about to tackle a new genre project. The flick is called NEVER LET ME GO and it is being directed by Mark Romanek, who I feel did a subtly haunting job with ONE HOUR PHOTO.
Here’s how NEVER LET ME GO’s plot is described: The story revolves around a trio who grew up in a boarding school with no contact or knowledge of the outside world until they discover they are clones grown for the sole purpose of organ donation.
Hmm, that’s a pretty cool concept. I wonder when THE ISLAND will begin shooting. Wait a minute… did I say THE ISLAND? I’m sorry. I meant NEVER LET ME GO. It’s just that the plot of both movies seem very similar. Hopefully, the narrative “guts” of NEVER will help differentiate it from Michael Bay’s lame ISLAND. At least Knightley, in my opinion, is a better actress than Scarlett Johansson (I didn’t say hotter).
The script for NEVER was written by Alex Garland (28 DAYS LATER). It also stars Andrew Garfield and Carey Mulligan.
