Another new trailer for the Steve Jobs biopic JOBS has gone online, touting the tagline of an "American Legend," which I don't disagree with, especially since I'm typing this on a Mac and carry an iPhone everywhere I go. I'd say he's had a profound influence on many of us. However, translating that on film can be a tricky task, especially with Ashton Kutcher doing all the heavy lifting. Sure, there's a terrific supporting cast, including Josh Gad, Dermot Mulroney, Matthew Modine, J.K. Simmons, Lukas Haas, Ron Eldard, Lesley Ann Warren, and James Woods, but I'm just not sure that will be enough. That said, I'm intrigued by what I see and hope that the film can do justice to the JOBS life rather than fall short of that representation.

Mac or PC?:

This feels like a fun and engaging movie based on the trailers and the marketing has been pretty spot on leading up to its release, but I think that Kutcher will continue to be the hard sell. Reviews are giving him kudos, though, so perhaps this could be a game changer for the former Punk'd host. I know one thing for sure; I'm done with that damn Macklemore song in movie trailers already (and believe me, this won't be the last time you hear it). It's time to find a new "it" song trailer choppers.

JOBS hits theaters on August 16, 2013.
