New Ant-Man and The Wasp spot teases Infinity War connection

After the wallop of a cliffhanger at the end of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, many are wondering how ANT-MAN AND THE WASP fits into the timeline of events. Hell, I'm gonna say everyone has their own theories because it's true. Marvel Studios is quite privy to this fact, and now their toying with our emotions by including some INFINITY WAR footage at the start of their brand-new TV spot for the ANT-MAN sequel.

The spot kicks off the first ten seconds with INFINITY WAR footage, with the narrator saying, “Everything you know, everything you’ve experienced, has led to this,” only to cut to Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) arguing with his friends about desk choices. Will the Quantum Realm have something to do with defeating Thanos? Does something happen to Ant-Man or Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) at the end of the movie? Who knows, but we will get answers as to how Scott functions with a tiny desk.

In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

The spot dropped yesterday and served the second purpose of announcing that tickets were going on sale today to kick off the week. As we get into the latter half of the month and near the beginning of July the review/reaction embargo for the movie could lift soon (some reports say a week from today after the premiere), so stay tuned for all those.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP with Rudd, Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Pena, Laurence Fishburne and more arrives July 6.
