It’s been over a year since I last pointed you toward a teaser for the futuristic Vin Diesel thriller BABYLON A.D. (Relive the wonder HERE.) Since then, we’ve gotten a few more teases, but none have really impressed… Now IGN has a new one for the film, directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, and you can peep it below!
Here are the deets: Veteran-turned-mercenary Thoorop takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah.
Despite hitting many a snag on its way to seeing the light of day (over-schedule, over-budget… the usual), BABYLON A.D. isn’t looking too shabby (even if it seems like an amalgom of about 45 other movies). We’ll all get a chance to see for ourselves when it hits theaters on AUGUST 29.
The flick also stars Michelle Yeoh, Mélanie Thierry (pictured below), Gérard Depardieu, Charlotte Rampling, and Lambert Wilson.
