A new international poster for COUPLES RETREAT was released today and, if nothing else, it’s a great example of how much Photoshop goes into making a movie poster. The new poster is above below while I’ve also included the original domestic poster below that. Take a look at the two. They’re clearly from the same base image of the star, yet very different posters.
Vince is wearing a laia, Malin and Kristen Davis each have a flower tucked behind their ear, Malin is carrying luggage, Favs has unfolded his arms, Faison Love and his wife has been completely erased, they’re now wading in much shallower water (yet it’s almost knee deep despite being inches from the shore), Kristen and Jason seem suddenly happy… It’s like one of those “Can You Spot the Differences” quizzes from Highlights magazine.
To be clear, I’m not knocking the movie at all (which I’ve heard is actually quite funny) just find it funny that they’d so blatantly tamper with an image that’s been out for a while. Check em out below…
