In the past week we hit you with a new DISTRICT 9 viral video as well as a new poster for the flick. Well how about we cap off this trifecta with a brand new trailer!
That’s right. Over in our videos section you’ll find the newest trailer for the Peter Jackson produced DISTRICT 9. Or if you don’t feel like clicking around you can just scroll down below. Now I’m going to be straight here… I haven’t been paying attention to DISTRICT 9. Is that so bad? I actually took some time out of my day though and took a look at this trailer and it’s definitely something that’ll peek your interest. What do you guys think? Is DISTRICT 9 at least worth giving a shot or are you writing this one off already?
Sure with a big name like Peter Jackson producing this one already has a built in audience… but I’m getting a gut feeling it’s going to fall on it’s face. While it’s intriguing no doubt… it just doesn’t seem to have much appeal to a wide audience.. then again I’ll go ahead and guess Jackson and director Neill Blomkamp aren’t really going for wide appeal here.
Just in case you don’t know what’s going on with DISTRICT 9 and you can’t tell from the trailer, here’s the synopsis: An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly find a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology. The aliens fight back August 14th.
