It’s been a while since we’ve heard much of anything on HATCHET, which is driving me crazy. I mean, where else can you find Kane Hodder aka the only Jason Voorhees, Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger and Tony Todd aka Candyman? Movie Maniacs fans can stop jumping up and down, since action figures don’t count.
Anyways, the Adam Green-directed film is complete, and has been accepted into this year’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York. To celebrate, on the film’s official site, they’ve posted a brand new trailer for the film. The interesting part is that the trailer consists of text. That’s right, no scenes, no music (save for a piano near the end), just black screen, white text and the sound of someone running from some big hombre who eventually catches up to the this someone and chops ’em up. You have to love these types of trailers. Playing with someone’s head with only sound is the ultimate mindf*ck (don’t believe me? Check out the teaser that Michael Bay did for THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE). Also on the site, you can check out the other trailer for the film, read up on the cast and more (in a couple days, you can also expect the official onesheets for the film to appear on the site, too). So what are you waiting for? Hit it up here!
