Jesus tit-bangin’ Christ, that is just awful. Everybody involved with the making of this poster should have some grudge-like curse put upon them, then go about their daily routines filming themselves so we can witness the exact moment they realize their time on earth is up and they’re about to perish at the hands of some hellish demon from a netherworld unknown to man, their very last thoughts returning them to the day they chose to conspire in the creation of a one-sheet so godawful it makes smashing a puppy into a bloody pulp with a fire extinguisher look lovely in comparison… Or maybe I’m being too judgmental…
This doesn’t offset the news that THE HOLE has been very well received at the Venice and Toronto film festivals (even winning an award at Venice for best 3D film), and has generally been building decent buzz. It still doesn’t have a release date, but seems like it’ll be sometime in 2010. Let’s just pray it’s released theatrically, like it’s supposed to be.
THE HOLE 3-D stars Haley Bennet, Chris Massoglia, Bruce Dern, and Teri Polo, and deals with a pair of brothers who stumble upon a mysterious hole in their basement that leads to the darkest corridors of their fears and nightmares.
