New monster images from the Goosebumps movie now set for 2016

If you’re like me and grew up with the GOOSEBUMPS series, you might be a little excited for the upcoming feature film. Call it nostalgia if you want, those books were awesome and the movie surprisingly sounds like a solid idea for a quasi-adaptation. The movie stars Jack Black as real-life Goosebumps author R.L. Stine who’s monster characters make their way out into the real world and crazy stuff goes down.

Or in other words:

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door.  But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach’s comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series.  It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange… he is a prisoner of his own imagination – the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books.  When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it’s suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong.

The GOOSEBUMPS movie has released a meme maker which came with a collection of monster images. It’s a pretty creative way to get the characters out there and start the ball rolling of what I assume with be many character posters later on. As you can see by the images, they say it’s now arriving in theaters in 2016 as opposed to the original August 2015 release date.

The film also stars Odeya Rush, Jillian Bell, Amy Ryan, Ken Marino, Dylan Minette, and Ryan Lee. Stay with us for an updated release date as soon as it’s announced.
