The comedic powerhouses of Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill, along with Richard Ayoade are patrolling the neighborhood this summer in THE WATCH and today we have a new international trailer to set us straight.  Directed by Akiva Schaffer (HOT ROD), the pic centers on a suburban neighborhood watch group led by Stiller who undertake the mission of stopping an alien invasion.

It’s a high-concept idea and looks like a lot of fun, with this new trailer sealing the deal for me.  It looks like they are merging quite a bit of action into this comedy romp and I think that’s pretty cool and should make for some great over-the-top goofs.

You ain’t seen nothin’ yet:

Here’s the official synopsis:

An outrageous comedy in which four everyday suburban guys (played by Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade) come together to form a neighborhood watch group, but only as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week.  But when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood — and the world — from total extermination.

THE WATCH hits the beat on July 27, 2012.
