New Knives Out trailer makes murder suspects out of an impressive ensemble

Rian Johnson’s latest directorial outing, KNIVES OUT, has already solidified itself as one of the must-see movies of the fall after rave reviews poured out of the Toronto International Film Festival. Some of those rave reviews come at the start of the brand-new trailer for the murder mystery starring Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon and more. The new trailer finds the impressive ensemble turned into suspects across a wild, upper-class murder mystery, and if you weren’t already excited, by the end it will prove why KNIVES OUT should be near the top of your radar.

Digging into more of the history of the family, we learn a bit more about how Christopher Plummer’s Harlan Thrombrey is (er, was) an incredibly successful writer, and that each of his family members perhaps had probable cause to see him dead. Beyond that, it’s more of Craig’s Hercule Poirot-esque Detective Benoit Blanc investigating the one-by-one, with the mystery taking sharp and deadly turns along the way. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Ana de Armas, Don Johnson, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, Noah Segan, Edi Patterson, and Riki Lindhome.

The movie was hailed as one the best coming out of TIFF, with our own Chris Bumbray giving it a 9/10. “Truly, KNIVES OUT is a blast right from the first frame, giving Craig what could be the next great franchise character for him to play in a whole series of movies, were this to make enough money to warrant it,” he concluded. “Hopefully, it does, because the world needs more Benoit Blancs.”
