What do you do when you already release a move about snakes on a plane? You start looking for more horror-related plane movies, that’s what! Or at least, that’s what New Line Cinema’s plan is! After the underwhelming performance of SNAKES ON A PLANE, I’m somewhat surprised by this move, but it looks like New Line just acquired the distribution rights to director Scott Thomas’ PLANE DEAD.
But wait, it’s not PLANE DEAD anymore, it’s new official title is actually FLIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. Personally, I kind of liked PLANE DEAD a little better, but FOTLD works just as well, I suppose. Just because it’s New Line though, don’t expect the full theatrical treatment here (especially with the new name), as everything about this flick screams STD… No official announcement either way has been made, but money pools around America are now being placed on how it’ll be released. I got 5 that says DVD.
If you really needed to know, or have no imagination, the flick is about zombies… on plane. Do you really need the details here? Starring David Chisum, Kristen Kerr, Kevin J. O’Connor, and Derek Webster. You know what would’ve been a better title? How about ZOMBIES ON A PLANE? They’re now both owned by New Line, they should say ‘f*ck it’, and create a whole new horror series… on a plane! I’d check em’ out!
Anyway, for more info. on FLIGHT, click HERE, and be sure to place your bets on whether it’ll be a STD or given the theatrical treatment. I hear it’s a 10 to 1 odds… so place your bets early!
