New Manson flick?

Uhhh, which one is the director?

The guys from Fangoria managed to squeeze some info out of
director Marcus Nispel (THE
TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE
) about some upcoming projects that he wants
to get off the ground. And while I was amazed that he was going to tackle a film
adapted from American McGee’s ALICE (which is a really f**ked up version
of Alice in Wonderland) that would star Sarah Michelle Gellar, I’m more
surprised about the film he wants to do about everyone’s favorite wacko;
Charles Manson
.

Nispel told Fango “This
is different for both of us [writer Scott Kosar], because we don’t see it as a
great reason to do some damage and splash blood. It’s a responsible movie. I
love those ones that have a detailed account of reality, like BLACK HAWK DOWN,
and you have to really pay attention to that, you can’t go out and make a
fantasy where anything can happen. But to do it takes discipline. I think
Fincher’s ZODIAC is going to be very interesting.”

Nispel promises to veer away from the biopics that exist
already about Manson, saying that this one will be told from a point of view
that will have nothing to do with the legal aspect of Manson or about what was
said during trials.

Personally I don’t care either way. We watched a Manson
interview in high school and watching him ramble on for an hour may just be one
of the greatest forms of entertainment ever. Maybe Nispel could leave a camera
with Manson and just tape him for like 6 hours. He would have enough awesome
footage to put together one kick ass horror trilogy! To see the full article
