New motion poster unleashed for HBO’s upcoming Lovecraft Country!

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m super excited about the upcoming Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams-produced HBO horror series LOVECRAFT COUNTRY! I loved the book by Matt Ruff, and have also loved all the marketing materials that have come out since the announcement, such as this recent motion poster that was revealed on the official LOVECRAFT COUNTRY Twitter account:

Honestly, looks pretty awesome to me! I was already all in on this project, but the fact that we might be seeing some of Lovecraft’s creatures done on a big-budget scale makes it even more exciting! Meanwhile, here’s the official synopsis:

HBO’s new drama series, based on the 2016 novel by Matt Ruff of the same name, debuts this August. The series follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he joins up with his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father (Michael Kenneth Williams). This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

LOVECRAFT COUNTRY – starring Jonathan Majors, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Courtney B. Vance – will premiere on HBO August 16th!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the book? If so, how is the show looking so far? Either way, sound off below!
