New pic from I, Frankenstein: Aaron Eckhart and Yvonne Strahvoski get bookish

I was not very impressed with the I, FRANKENSTEIN presentation at San Diego Comic-Con; the movie is just too reminiscent of UNDERWORLD (and even VAN HELSING!) to prompt me to care one way or the other about it. Add the fact that it has had a long road to the big screen – and they're still converting it into 3D – and you can count me out.

But for those of you who might still be interested, here's another treat for you: a new image from the Stuart Beattie-directed film, featuring Aaron Eckhart and Yvonne Strahovski. Yes, this is Frankenstein's monster and the brilliant scientist who helps him. Cue studio exec cluelessly saying "This ain't your daddy's Frankenstein!"

Opening on January 24th, here's what I, Frankenstein is about:

Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.
