The fall movie season usually has some particularly dark films, but this year there seems to be more than usual: Spike Lee's OLDBOY remake, OUT OF THE FURNACE with Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson, PRISONERS starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal (which has earned a perfect 10 from JoBlo.com's Chris Bumbray) and of course, THE COUNSELOR directed by Ridley Scott and written by Cormac McCarthy.

The Wrap has some new images and a poster for the highly anticipated film featuring Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt. I would have preferred a little bit more style for the poster instead of blandly framing the cast together, but really it's the movie that matters and not the poster, and I won't have a problem with a generic poster if I'm rewarded with a fantastic film.

THE COUNSELOR will be in theaters on October 25th, 2013.
