With After Dark’s 2010 lineup of Films To Die For set for release at the end of the month, it only makes sense they put forth one last marketing onslaught. As such, in the next few weeks you can expect us here at AITH to cover our fair share of this year’s canon of films. We’ve already seen a bunch of one-sheets in the recent past, but now we have a nice crop of stills from Joel Anderson’s supernatural chiller LAKE MUNGO (enjoy them shits below!)
With sole script credit going to Anderson himself, the Aussie flick centers on:
Sixteen-year-old ALICE PALMER, who drowns while swimming in the local dam. When her body is recovered and a verdict of accidental death returned, her grieving family buries her. The family then experiences a series of strange and inexplicable events centered in and around their home. Profoundly unsettled, the Palmers seek the help of psychic and parapsychologist, RAY KEMENY. Ray discovers that Alice led a secret, double life. A series of clues lead the family to Lake Mungo where Alice’s secret past emerges. LAKE MUNGO is a mystery, a thriller and a ghost story.
A double life, huh? Who is she, Jason Bourne?
The film stars Talia Zucker, Roseie Traynor, David Pledger, Martin Sharpe, Steve Jodrell, Tamara Donnellan, Scott Terill, Chloe Armstrong, Claire Astbury, Jason Ball and Helen Bath.
The 2010 After Dark Film Fest kicks off Jan. 29th.
