Smoke ’em if you got ’em! America’s favorite hemp lobbyist Woody Harrelson is putting on his bad guy hat for Fox’s latest PLANET OF THE APES flick, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Harrelson will evidently play a villainous character called the Colonel in the third film of the rebooted franchise. Naturally, not much is known about the plot of the film, which is reportedly titled WAR OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. (That’s still unconfirmed.)

Harrelson will join Andy Serkis, who via motion-capture brings heroic ape Caesar to life, as well as actor Gabriel Chavarria, who joined the film a few weeks ago.

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES helmer Matt Reeves returns to the director’s chair, while Mark Bomback will once again pen the script. The film is scheduled to come out July 14, 2017.
