I really think the above picture says it all for JOHN RAMBO. This is a movie about a freakishly buff old man stabbing and murdering Burmese soldiers. I mean, look below, he’s friggin’ wiped out a whole village and a damn water buffalo!
IESB has a nice gallery of stills from the highly-anticipated flick, some of which we’ve seen already, but some that are new. Got to say, this is a fairly dreary-looking flick – I hope it’s as fun as we all thought it would be when we saw that first out-of-control teaser.
I still love this synopsis: In Thailand, a group of Christian aid workers recruit John Rambo to guide them up the Salween River to deliver medical supplies to the Karen tribe of neighboring Burma (aka Myanmar). When the missionaries fail to return, Rambo is persuaded to take a group of mercenaries back into the war-torn border region to find them. What follows is a descent into hell on earth.
Hell on Earth. Yeah, this is going to be a fun ride.
