It’s no secret there’s another film set to join the PLANET OF THE APES franchise. Hell we’ve been covering this shite for months now so I would hope you’re aware of it. Rupert Wyatt’s RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is still a few weeks away and the goods are already coming at us full force. Less than 24 hours ago Eric hit us all with a couple of APES TV spots and now here I am with yet another viral video for the film.
I’m sure most of you dig the whole viral thing, right? I’m actually a big fan of the viral way of advertising… if done right. And dare I say APES has been doing a pretty solid job with that? Today we may just have the best APES viral yet! You see over at the apeswillrise YouTube page a brand new video just popped up of a bunch of African soldiers messing around with an innocent little monkey… innocent until one of the soldiers hands the monkey an AK-47. RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
