With the recent news that the SCARY MOVIE line is up for reboot, it seems spoof-horror is not vanishing anytime soon. Other evidence of this assertion comes via STAN HELSING, a puerile horror lampoon looking to cull as much (or more) laughter than it does scares.
And if this tastes like your cup of tea, get ready to be all kinds of stoked, as we now have 4, count ‘em, 4 new clips from the Bo Zenga feature debut (not counting SOUL PLANE, which you wouldn’t anyway, would you?!?)
Just to keep things straight, STAN HELSING:
Follows the misadventures of a hapless video store clerk Stan Helsing (Steve Howey) and his friends. During what should be a routine video delivery on Halloween night before going to a Halloween party Stan Helsing and company find themselves stranded in the mysterious residential development of Stormy Night Estates. There, Stan learns of his true destiny as a descendent of the legendary monster-hunter Van Helsing.
