The last we heard about Jim Mickle’s vampire flick STAKE LAND was last month, when we were treated to the news that STAKE LAND would be hitting this year’s Fantastic Fest. Well it’s a couple weeks late but to celebrate we’ve got another brand new still from the film for you guys to check out!
The newest STAKE LAND still comes at us courtesy of Entertainment Weekly and features long-time hottie Kelly McGillis in a bit of a pickle… And by pickle I mean she’s bound and gagged, and not in the good way! Following a political-economic meltdown of unexplained origins, the world has been overrun by humanoid creatures who feed off human blood. A disparate group of survivors band together to weave their way through the communities of both vampires and equally dangerous religious cultists in search of an alleged sanctuary in the north.
The flick stars Nick Damici, Connor Paolo, Kelly McGillis, Danielle Harris and Michael Cerveris. STAKE LAND just got finished at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be making it’s US premiere at Fantastic Fest 2010, which runs between September 23rd and September 30th. Unfortunately as far as a wide release goes we’re still in the dark but as soon as that shite is announced you’ll all be the first to know!
