New stills from Christmas-set thriller Everly, starring Salma Hayek

Want to see Salma Hayek destroying a bunch of assassins? Of course you do! Being described as “Die Hard-in-a-room”, Joe Lynch’s EVERLY will hit iTunes and VOD on January 23rd with a limited theatrical release to follow on February 27th. On tap today is a shitload of kickass new images from the Christmas-set thriller, delivering our best look at the film yet. The stills, which you can find below, tell us everything we really need to know about this one: Salma Hayek is still incredibly gorgeous, it's going to be bloody as hell, and a lot of people are going to die. Like, a lot a lot. Oh, and there's torture, too. Who really needs a trailer?

EVERLY goes like this:

It’s Christmas time, but all is not well in the world of Everly (Salma Hayek). A call girl by trade, Everly has turned against her gangster boss Taiko (Hiroyuki Watanabe) and become a police informant. In response, Taiko has put out a hit on Everly and her family. Soon, every criminal in town wants to cash in. Everly’s survival instincts quickly kick in as she matches wits and firepower with Taiko and a seemingly endless stream of killers.

EVERLY co-stars Togo Igawa (LAST SAMURAI; MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA), Masashi Fujimoto (SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE) and Hiroyuki Watanabe. The script is by Yale Hannon based on a story by Hannon and Lynch.
