New trailer and one-sheet for Mark Young’s hostage thriller The Killing Jar

Ah yeah, Michael Madsen and Danny Trejo in a hostage thriller? The hell else do you really need?

THE KILLING JAR, a flick written and directed by Mark Young (TOOTH AND NAIL), is set for a March 19th stateside release. And to get you primed for this bad boy, we’ve just locked an official one-sheet and sweet looking trailer for the shite.

Also starring Harold Perrineau, Amber Benson, Kevin Gage, Lew Temple, Lindsey Axelsson, Jonathan Sachar, Patrick Durham, Talan Torriero, Emily Catherine Young, and Jake Busey – THE KILLING JAR finds:

Seven people passing time one late evening at a small roadside diner in the middle of nowhere. Among them are NOREEN (Amber Benson), a waitress trapped in a loveless marriage; JOHN (Harold Perrineau), a melancholy salesman; HANK (Kevin Gage), a quiet with a secret; LONNIE (Lew Temple), a small-town cop; and JIMMY (Danny Trejo), the ill-tempered owner.

When a radio reports the disturbing murders of a family in a nearby county, the patrons immediately suspect new arrival DOE (Michael Madsen) as the killer. A bloody confrontation ensues, and the patrons become hostages as the troubled Doe decides their fates. As secrets are revealed, the desperate survivors slowly realize that one of the hostages may be even more dangerous than their captor.

With any other cast, I’d write this off quicker than Elin did Tiger. As it stands, I can’t help but get more than a little excited to see Mr. Blond and Machete himself join forces (or square off) in the same flick, regardless if it’s not the first or last time they do so. I mean, c’mon…it’s Navajas and Sonny Black!!!

Of course, there’s always Busey’s Howard the Duck hairdo to tickle your fancy.

I’d willfully be held hostage with Amber Benson (above)!
