New trailer and poster for The Adventures of Tintin promise an old-fashioned good time!

This is it. This is the trailer that will sell American audiences on a property most don’t know or give a damn about.

This new trailer for Steven Spielberg’s THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN is the most classically Spielbergian yet, with its great displays of both quiet and grand adventure, tense and humorous peril, and all peppered with wonderful character. Oh, and that John Williams score! The film’s already getting good word-of-mouth in Europe which is starting to spread over here. And while I’ve been on board since the start simply because of the talent involved, it’s this trailer that’s finally gotten me genuinely excited for the stuff I’m actually seeing.

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN opens December 21st.

Synopsis: Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present “The Adventures of Tintin” directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.
