Now, I’m not entirely sure how believable the lovely Mischa Barton would be as an engineer, but I think I’m willing to find out. I’m referring to the upcoming-on-DVD suspense project called WALLED IN. This flick is really starting to create some buzz on my “Netflix-or-not” radar. The piece I wrote last week regarding the prequel to WALLED shown through a very cool graphic novel really piqued my curiosity. And today, we have a brand new trailer up and running, for your viewing pleasure.
Just click on the link below to see how Mischa gets royally F-ed (not in a dirty way, ya perv). It really does look like a cool murder/mystery story and Ms. Barton couldn’t look finer with her darker locks. There are secret passageways and a creepy children’s chant. I do recommend you check it out.
Recent engineering graduate Sam Walczak (Barton) travels to the middle of nowhere to supervise demolition of the mysterious Malestrazza building. However, Sam finds the building is not quite empty. The caretaker Mary and her son Jimmy are among the few straggler tenants left. Jimmy and Sam form a tenuous bond discovering the building’s numerous – and potentially lethal – secrets.
As Sam begins to unravel the clandestine details of the architect’s life and his astonishing building, she is drawn into a dark and frightening reality which forces her to accept her own dark past and turn the tables before becoming its latest victim…
WALLED IN was directed and scripted by Gilles Paquet-Brenner. In addition to Ms. Barton, it also stars Debra Kara Unger, Noam Jenkins, Shannon Jardine, Darla Biccum, and Cameron Bright. The DVD release is March 17th.
