Which is why I was so frickin’ stoked when last season’s Project Greenlight on Bravo was ‘the horror of making a horror movie’, as it showcased the making of FEAST!
Sure, some of the shit that went down behind that scenes wasn’t too cool (I still hate that f*cking casting director), but the actual movie making part looked like an assload of fun- and so does the movie! Doesn’t look too shabby at all…
Producer Matt Damon must think it’s pretty good too, as he recently spilled the beans to IGN about the recent date-change for the monster flick. So in his own words, Matt Damon:
“Bob’s gonna bring it out at Christmas and he was like, [imitating his accent] ‘I released this movie The Darkness last year at Christmas. It’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen in my life, this f****** Darkness, but it’s a great slot. The Darkness made 22 million. So I’m putting Feast in the Darkness slot.’ ‘F****** Feast is Citizen Kane compared to The Darkness. (Laughs) So in an odd way, maybe it’ll work out.”
You damn right it’s gonna be better than DARKNESS!!! It looks like good ol’ campy fun, something that is missed far too much in movies these days, especially all those damn feel good movies they release just in time for Christmas. I don’t know about you, but watching a heard of monstorous beasts eat patrons in a bar for a couple of hours sounds like the best Christmas EVER!
Of course, this is just Damon talking and nothing ‘official’ has come to light of it, but when it does, you’ll be the first to know…
