Nick Groff Investigates… Death Walker and Halloween Haunts!

Nick Groff is one of the most respected names in television and beyond when it comes to the paranormal. He has had incredible experiences in some of the most haunted locations in the world. As a friend to Arrow in the Head, we’ve shared some very exciting experiences with Nick including a couple of wild and spooky moments that we’ve managed to capture on camera. Thus, we’ve decided to work with the television host and producer extraordinaire so he can share his knowledge and insight on all things that go bump in the night. With this bi-monthly column, we plan to delve into everything from urban legends to ghostly apparitions, to his take on some of the coolest genre flicks ever. This is Nick Groff Investigates…!

DEATH WALKER and HALLOWEEN HAUNTS!

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to discuss at length the mysteries of the paranormal with Nick Groff. I have had several experiences, and it's been fascinating to be able to share my own stories and hear what he has to say. Not only have I been able to tell tales, I've also had the chance to look into the darkness at the Washoe Club in Virginia City, Nevada, the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, and more. It's been exciting to take in a little bit of his knowledge as well as build on my observations and experiences. What has been truly rewarding is that I've discovered my own personal journey into the world of hauntings and the strange. I'm beyond grateful for that.

One of my favorite things about working with Mr. Groff is how he continues to move forward with his theories and his understanding of this strange world. He's always learing from his journey and trying to discover things that he may have missed, or perhaps experiences that didn't feel as clear as they could have. He's always pushing forward in search of the mysterious realm between the living and the dead. It's fascinating to be a  small part of this, and it's even more impactful having had the chance to learn from him. And while he's no stranger to taking risks, his latest adventure may be his most thrilling yet. This Halloween, Nick is bringing a new vision to the paranormal – something we announced here awhile back – and it's finally coming to VIDISPACE!

DEATH WALKER is a fascinating new series. The beauty of this brand new chapter is that he is going to a few familiar locations with the advantage of experience and knowledge that he's gathered over the years. Nick has returned to some of the most intriguing locations that include Bobby Mackey's Music World, Brushy Mountain Penitentiary, and more. While I've had the opportunity to watch a few of the episodes, I'm looking forward to the ones I've missed. The new series delves deeper into the world of the paranormal while adding a few new and fascinating layers. The impact of time and space, and many other possible explanations to strange phenomena adds something special, something fresh. Frankly, I'm beyond thrilled to revisit some of these places and then some with Death Walkers. Are you ready for something new? Make sure you check out the new series this Saturday. After all, it's Halloween, and you know… we're all entitled to one good scare.

DEATH WALKER is the living walking amongst the dead. I wanted to invent a catchy nickname that could be an alternate version of a paranormal investigator. This is my journey into the unknown with a different perspective on the phenomena occurring at locations reportedly haunted. The first episode is Brushy Mountain Penitentiary and Madison Seminary. Both intrigued me because I held Nick Groff Tours events at them. I wanted to dive deeper into both of these locations by giving myself an entire night to investigate the prison and mainly focus on the solitary confinement cells. Madison Seminary held similar experiences. I felt that the similar paranormal activity that I captured at both locations would make for a credible first episode to show my approach for the rest of the season.

This time around on DEATH WALKER, I wanted to venture into each location and extensively talk to the people who had experienced paranormal phenomena in or around them. I wanted to reveal my initial theory as to what was occurring. I also heard their opinions as to what they thought were haunting the location. Before investigating each of the locations, I knew that place had a legitimate haunting through researching the history and reading other paranormal investigator's case files. I wanted to enter each location with a theory already in mind and compare my paranormal evidence to see if my theory could be accurate or inaccurate. If I'm inaccurate about the theory, I'll research further to see if I can discover another theory, or make up my own to better describe what could be occurring.

After experiencing a lot of paranormal activity while staying 72 hours at each haunted location on Paranormal Lockdown, after PL, I  started to reevaluate all of my experiences. Also, the evidence I capture and apply critical thinking to see if this could better describe or add an alternate understanding to the paranormal occurrences that people have witnessed. I had multiple conversations about time and space. Possibly this theory could play a role in paranormal activity at these locations.

Bobby Mackey's Music World was the most challenging. I've almost become obsessed with wanting to know what or who is haunting this place. Whatever it is has had such a profound effect on me in my life. After investigating the location for over a decade, my mind has changed dramatically on what is haunting this location. Bobby Mackey's Music World left the most impact on me because of what I have documented throughout my journey. DEATH WALKER is a fresh look into the scope of the paranormal and evolving conversations into the subject to better understand what is happening outside the norm.
