Nick Groff Investigates.. Octagon Hall Civil War Museum!

Nick Groff is one of the most respected names in television and beyond when it comes to the paranormal. He has had incredible experiences in some of the most haunted locations in the world. As a friend to Arrow in the Head, we’ve shared some very exciting experiences with Nick including a couple of wild and spooky moments that we’ve managed to capture on camera. Thus, we’ve decided to work with the television host and producer extraordinaire so he can share his knowledge and insight on all things that go bump in the night. With this bi-monthly column, we plan to delve into everything from urban legends to ghostly apparitions, to his take on some of the coolest genre flicks ever. This is Nick Groff Investigates…!

OCTAGON HALL CIVIL WAR MUSEUM

Mystery has always fascinated me. Whether you are talking a good fictional whodunnit, or simply a real life place that offers a few hidden secrets, it’s something I find truly exciting. And thankfully, I’ve had the chance to delve into a few strange and mysterious adventures courtesy of Nick Groff Investigates. And as we continue looking into terrifying tales and haunted locations – including joining in on one or two – it’s thrilling to see how much of this world is unexplained. In many ways, stepping into a place known for haunts has offered some of the most fun I’ve had writing for Arrow in the Head. And with the upcoming series, Nick Groff Investigates, I’m happy that we are getting an even closer look into the unknown as we at AITH continue working with Mr. Groff and his amazing adventures.

Recently, Nick told me about a place in Franklin, Kentucky, one that feels slightly different from anything he's investigated before. If you are looking for something truly spectacular in the world of paranormal, this may be the perfect place to take in a bit of ghoulish delight. Rich in history, the Octagon Hall Civil War Museum is located on the very grounds where both Confederate and Federal soldiers spent time – it served as a Civil War hospital for both sides of the war. As well, this fascinating museum offers a plethora of spectacularly spooky stories to tell. While I did not spend time here, everything Nick told me made we want to examine its hallowed halls immediately.

During his investigation, Nick was witness to a few fascinating events. One included something seemingly not of this Earth. As witness to a number of paranormal entities, Mr. Groff found himself face to face with something truly unique, even to him. We’re not just talking spirits and the unseen. We are talking about witnessing what appeared to be a UFO, and of course, digging deep inside this historical living memory. And once again, he offered to give us a quick glimpse into what we can expect from the upcoming Nick Groff Investigates series. So sit back and join us as we learn more about a place that saw unimaginable tragedy. Frankly, I’m still is awe as to what my paranormal partner in crime discovered. So please join us, as Nick Groff Investigates… Octagon Hall Museum.

“One of my favorite locations to investigate! So many different stories and interesting encounters with the paranormal. Our first hour on the property we experienced a bizarre UFO hovering above the Octagon Hall Museum. What appeared to be a white transparent sphere came out of nowhere and moved quickly in a hyper speed motion. I’ve never seen an object move this fast in different directions rapidly. It was amazing! My cousin Justin and our interviewee both witnessed the flying object too. After it vanished into thin air, we heard the story of a pilot who chased a UFO near by and randomly crashed and died. There has also been a lot of sightings of Cryptid’s and bizarre creatures around the property. Apparitions, ghosts, and creepy phenomena.

The most epic part about this location was the stories I heard about time slipping into our reality. It was crazy! One story was about a group of people who saw a ghost train behind the location on the tracks that looked like it was from a different period in time. It was so realistic with people moving on the train inside, in fact, one of the witnesses who worked for the railway contacted the station and asked why that train was running on the tracks. They responded with no trains are on the tracks right now! The people inside the train where dressed in 50’s era clothing.

The stories and encounters are endless! The history is incredible! I now understand why a mason would build on this property, the energy is fascinating. So much to learn and experience. I documented unexplainable things that made me question more about our reality. I definitely will be back to explore more!”
