Oh, that Nicolas Cage. We can’t get enough of him. He’s the best. I would like to think that his role is RAISING ARIZONA pre-determined the path that his career would take. Or maybe it was the one in VALLEY GIRL…

Or the one in PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED…

I like the actor that Cage has grown into. He’s sort of a lovable oddity like John Malkovich. While I’m not a fan of some of the random B-movies he’s put out, I am still in his corner. Really, I can’t wait to see what he decides to take on in the next ten years; maybe they will be similar to the one he plays in David Gordon Green’s JOE.

This clip for the film JOE shows Cage as the cool father figure to Gary (Tye Sheridan). It also shows why we love Cage so much. In this scene he picks up a snake like it’s no problem. Me? I’d be running for the hills. Go ahead and take my coolness points away. If you haven’t seen the trailer for the film, I’d definitely check it out. The reviews for this flick have been strong, and many have given props to Cage for his acting in this one. I’d like to see more of these films from David Gordon Green.

Check out the clip below.
