Nicolas Cage talks Ghost Rider 2 once again: A new origin sequence??

Could this be the year of Nicolas Cage? We’ve got SEASON OF THE WITCH in theaters now with DRIVE ANGRY 3D and GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE to follow. We’ve also got Cage bringing us MEDALLION in the near future. Say what you want about the man, his hair and his choice of projects but I can always use myself some Nic Cage.

So it’s with that in mind that I come here today to tell you how Cage is at it once again talking up GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE. This time the actor spoke to the UK Press Association and talked up both the film and it’s directors, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Don’t take my word for it though, scope out what Cage had to say for yourself:

“They’re not like anybody else I’ve worked with. They do things with the camera that are just extraordinary. They’re brand new. The director’s on rollerblades and hanging from wires with the camera, holding on to the motorcycle and it’s going to be really wild. (It’s going to be) very different. A completely new experience and that’s how the directors choose to see it. I mean there’s even a new origin sequence.”

Glad to see Cage is stoked for the flick… But then again when isn’t Cage stoked for one of his own projects? Let’s hold off until we see from goods from the project before we make any rash decisions.

Hitting theaters come February 17, 2012 (over a year away!), GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE stars Cage and the gorgeous Violante Placido. Be sure to keep it here for more GHOST RIDER goods as they come our way!
