That Nicolas Cage vs evil animatronics movie now filming

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

THE DROP director Kevin Lewis' new flick WALLY'S WONDERLAND pits Nicolas Cage against evil animatronic characters come to life. And today we've learned that filming is now underway in Atlanta, Georgia. Featured high on the Blood List, the script by G.O. Parsons is described as "PALE RIDER meets KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE" and will feature Cage as

A janitor pulled into a living nightmare and forced to spend the night in a twisted amusement park where he has to fight his way through evil animatronic characters come to life. The janitor must battle from one monster to another to survive until morning.

On top of that, we hear that the film has added Emily Tosta (PARTY OF FIVE, MAYANS M.C.) to play the rebellious teenage lead along with Beth Grant (DONNIE DARKO, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN), Ric Reitz (SLEEPLESS, THE RESIDENT) and Chris Warner (IDIOCRACY, MACHETE).

Director Kevin Lewis says:

For me there was always one actor and one actor only who could make this movie work and that actor is Nic Cage. I’m thrilled to be working with him and can’t wait to see him go up against Wally and his gang of psychopathic misfits.

Grant Cramer (LONE SURVIVOR), Jeremy Davis (THE STREET RACER), and David Ozer (WYNONNA EARP) will produce along with Cage and Mike Nilon. Landafar Entertainment, JD Entertainment, Saturn Films, and Screen Media Ventures are behind the film. Danny Chan, Foresight Chairman Mark Damon, and Screen Media’s SVP of Worldwide Acquisitions Seth Needle will executive produce. Foresight will handle worldwide sales.

Now I don't know about you, but I think this movie sounds about as "must-see" as they come. Especially with the powers that be behind the scenes of that live-action FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S flick dragging their feet. Maybe at the very least news of this movie's production will get Blumhouse in gear and they will finally bring us that flick sooner rather than later. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Won't we? We'll keep you updated.
