Nightstalker Denied!

Looks like we’ve seen the last of the NIGHTSTALKERS, those crew of pretty vampire killers who saved BLADE: TRINITY from being a total waste of time.

Hannibal King Ryan Reynolds chatted with SciFi Wire over the weekend, denying the talks of a Nightstalkers spin-off that was eagerly talked about a few months back.

“No, I don’t want to do a Nightstalker movie. I mean, that was just something they just kind of gauged our interest on, to spin off Blade. I don’t think its going to [go]. I think people, if they go see a Blade movie, they want to see Wes [star Wesley Snipes]. That’s who they’ve watched all this way. So I suggested to New Line if they want to spin that off, take the characters and do something totally different with them, … outside of the realm of vampires or whatever.”

Since the BLADE series is getting a little tired out, especially after the lackluster TRINITY, I love the idea of watching Reynolds and the beautiful Jessica Biel battle vampires, werewolves, zombies, mummys- whatever really- without the presence of Blade. But hey, that’s just me! Call me crazy, but a wise crackin’ smart ass and a too-hot-to-handle burnette kickin’ monster ass sounds a bit more appetizing than an aging, uptight stiff going through the motions.

You can check Reynolds out this month in THE AMITYVILLE HORROR REMAKE, and Jessica Biel this summer in STEALTH.
