Nimród’s Predators?

A few weeks ago we were treated to the awesomely fantastic possible news that Neil Marshall may be the official director for the Robert Rodriguez-produced PREDATORS, rebooting the franchise and making us forget about PREDATOR 2 (check out the full story HERE).

That may prove to be a bunch of horseshit as Latino Review is reporting this morning that Nimród Antal is in talks to be chosen as director. Say who? Antal directed the entertaining killer-motel movie VACANCY, and the upcoming action movie ARMORED.

My heart was set on Marshall, yo. I ain’t gonna lie to you. But apparently Marshall may still be in the running, as it appears that there are seven directors being considered for the project. That said, Nimród is the number one contender at this point. Or at least according to the source at Latino Review.

Nimród, eh? I dug the hell outta VACANCY, and ARMORED looks like it may be OK, but I’m not sure he’s the dude for the job. Not that he’s Paul WS Anderson quality or anything, it just doesn’t seem like PREDATORS would be up his alley. Then again, VACANCY is a horror flick and ARMORED is an action flick… add those together, and maybe you do get something like PREDATORS…
