I know this is news you’ve just been dying to hear. We’ve all been wondering just what is the deal with these Vanessa-Hudgens-in-NEW MOON-rumors, y’all?! Is she in it or isn’t she? And what’s NEW MOON? And WHO THE F*CK IS VANESSA HUDGENS?!
Well, NEW MOON is the sequel to TWILIGHT, and it’s hastily being slapped together to meet a November release date. Vanessa Hudgens is a Disney kid; she’s in those HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL movies and apparently got into some deep trouble a couple of years ago when nude and semi-nude pictures of her spread across the web like so much grass growing on a playing field (a sample – which I don’t think will get me arrested – can be found below). But will these two beacons of teenage lameness come together? I’m afraid not.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that, despite all these rumors, Hudgens hasn’t auditioned for a role in the film, nor will she. No interest there at all… Director Chris Weitz reportedly said “Wha- huh?” when asked for comment.
For right now, the only NEW MOON cast we know if is, well, the entire cast of the first film. But where will they find a dark-haired 20 year-old girl of moderate cuteness to fill the shoes Hudgens never would have?
