Sometimes the news is just too good to be true. A few weeks back a story started circulating that a class called The Films of Sid Haig would be taught next term at Catawba Valley Community College in North Carolina. Very sweet concept and long overdue I think we can all agree. Problem is, it’s wrong.
Robert Canipe, the instructor who would have allegedly taught the class, does work at CVCC. However, one of our astute readers has verified with Canipe that there is no class. In addition, I spoke to the administrative office at CVCC and they confirmed that no such class exists on their schedule. That’d be a pretty neat trick for a class that is already reported to be full.
Sorry kids. I was excited too.
