Just in case you need your fix of “serious Jim Carrey” then I have good news for you. The box office disappointment THE NUMBER 23 (read Arrow’s review) has a DVD release date of July 17th. And of course, since it was a bit of a lame duck while in theatres, New Line Home Entertainment is going to beef up the DVD to get attention. The DVD will include audio commentary from director Joel ” I f*cked up the Batman franchise” Schumacher, and 15 minutes of bonus scenes. Hopefully some of those scenes will actually be good, as it would serve as a contrast to the rest of the sucky scenes that were in the theatrical release.
In addition to the normal commentary and what not, the disc will also have featurettes. Among the featurettes will be “The Making of ‘The Number 23,” “The Number 23 Enigma,” and “How To Do Your Numbers.”
