Another day, another actor added to the cast of ODD THOMAS…
Variety reports that Gugu Mbatha-Raw is the latest added to the cast of Stephen Sommer’s supernatural thriller, joining the likes of Anton Yelchin, Addison Timlin, Tim Robbins, Willem Dafoe, Nico Tortorella and Patton Oswalt.
Word is Mbatha-Raw (pictured) will play the Viola, the best friend of Addison Timlin’s character, who in turn wull play Odd Thomas’ girlfriend. Viola’s a waitress who raises two young girls after their junkie mother dies.
Mbatha-Raw, an English actress, has dallied in TV and film, with notable work on “MI:5,” “Vital Signs,” ACT OF GOD and the upcoming LARRY CROWNE.
Based on Dean Koontz’s novel, ODD THOMAS is set in a California desert town, story follows Thomas (Yelchin), a short-order cook with clairvoyant abilities who encounters a mysterious man with a link to dark, threatening forces.
