There’s been a rumor floating around that George A. Romero’s latest currently filming zombie opus was tentatively titled ISLAND OF THE DEAD but if the right-pictured poster that’s been showing at the American Film Market is to be believed, Romero has decided to do way with prefixes and simply name the flick …OF THE DEAD. Or he just hasn’t come up with an official name yet. Still, though, if he’s gonna be making zombie films indefinitely, why not just keep naming them …OF THE DEAD? Gives the films a certain “I don’t know what”. In the film, a family marooned on an island slowly start becoming undead bloodsuckers and the survivors must decide whether to finish them off or hold off for a cure.
