Just the other day we gave you a heads-up on some new OFFSPRING pics that hit the web (read that article HERE) and now it seems as though the flick has an Official Site up and running. Just in time for the holidays! Nothing says good cheer like inbred mutant cannibals, grandma always used to say.
At the moment the site is pretty bare, but based on the look of it, you can get the idea this is going to be a rough customer. Toss in the fact that it’s written by Jack Ketchum – based on his own book – and made by the folks who brought you THE GIRL NEXT DOOR (also based on a Ketchum story) and you’ve got a flick that will dance with an NC-17 for sure.
I’ve read Ketchum’s OFF SEASON, which can be considered a prequel to OFFSPRING, and it’s certainly nasty business. Of course, by now we’ve seen our share of inbred savages attacking “normals”, but I guess in 1980, when the book was first released, it was controversial stuff. I might have to give OFF SPRING a read before the flick hits sometime next year.
