And here I thought Vincent Kartheiser playing Amanda Seyfried’s father was ludicrous…
Last week we reported such a head-scratcher, as it was also learned Andrew Niccol’s new sci-fi thriller, once known as I’M.MORTAL, is now untitled. Even so, it isn’t stopping New Regency from dubiously casting this sumbitch.
According to The Wrap, the gorgeous Olivia Wilde (pictured) has signed onto Niccol’s latest. All well and good in its own right, but when you consider her playing a matriarchal role to Justin Timberlake’s character, shite just don’t add up. Why? T-lake was born in 1980. Ms. Wilde? 1984. No joke…
Of course, all this isn’t that outlandish when you consider the films plotline:
Set in the not-too-distant future, the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality.
Storyline follows a rebel from the ghetto (Timberlake) who is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, and goes on the run with a beautiful hostage (Seyfried).
Wilde also joins Cillian Murphy, Shyloh Oostwald, Collins Penny and Elena Satine (rumored).
So what do you got on this one? Is Wilde as T-lake’s mama jive with you, or does each bit of casting news for this film turn you further away?
Let us know…
